Interactive Raytracing Rendering

VRED Essentials enables you to permanently work in Raytracing mode. Reflections and refractions on the surface of geometries are depicted accurately at any time so that materials and lights can be set swiftly and intuitively.

HDRLightStudio*

VRED Essentials and HDRLightStudio open up entirely new possibilities to illuminate 3D scenarios. The seamless integration of HDRLightStudio into VRED Essentials facilitates a direct response of the HDR environment within a 3D scene or when modifications are applied in HDRLightStudio.

Area Lights

Besides HDR Lighting and sources of direct light VRED Essentials also supports area lights. Area lights which are available in quadratic, round or spheric shapes are able to generate very soft shadows and homogenous light flows in three dimensional space, depending on their size.

Animation*

VRED Essentials Plus offers the possibility of creating key frame animations. Animations created in FBX format are preserved as animation blocks during import and export. In ClipMaker, these can be rearranged or copied to other objects via copy & paste according to your needs. That way, repeating movements can easiliy be adapted to other objects. A multitude of clips can be defined and played back independently from each other. Motion blur can be object-specifically activated or deactivated.

In CurveEditor, you can now easiliy zoom in or out of animation curves or move sideways on the x- or y-axis.That way it is possible to specifically evaluate animation curves or to view related animations.

That way, dynamic images and films can be realised.

Object Lights

In VRED Essentials, every object can be defined as a source for object light. Objects with luminescent attributes assigned to them are illuminating surrounding objects as a self-contained light source. Thus, it enables the user to utilize any given surface, and hence any desirable form as a light source to generate individual reflections on surfaces.

Material Library

VRED Essentials comes with a material library to simulate a large number of surfaces fast and realistically. These materials are easy to manipulate to define individualised shaders. Thanks to the material library in VRED Essentials, creating 3D scenarios becomes easy.

Material Types

VRED Essentials gives you an extraordinary shader library. Each shader is defined according to the material attribute of actually existing surfaces, making it easy for the user to select the appropriate shader. Hence, a plastic shader can be used for plastic surfaces or a metallic shader can be applied for metallic surfaces. Moreover, there is also a glass shader as well as a carbon shader. There are no boundaries for the user.
